Sara Butler
My name is Sara Butler, a multi-media artist and prolific creator of enchanting work. I am excited to share and continue my journey at my studio in the South Bay!
I have always loved art, starting at an early age with my work gracing my mom’s refrigerator and childhood home to this day. As I grew, I tried many on hats and fell in love with glass fusing. I also began my focus on creating with textiles and exploring new ways to re-use clothes and household items. First, I opened my studio, Sarabi Design Studio, and reimagined the way I saw glass, clay, and fabric. After a few years, I found I was being commissioned to design, create, and sell my glass art, home décor, and artistic gift pieces around the world.
As time went on, I knew I wanted to make a more personable impact with my background in social work. Working with an even wider variety of art mediums, and learning from artists around the world, is how I evolved into the artist I am today and how I decided to open up my personal studio space, now South Bay Artist Studio, to the public.
I was born with a passion to help and create. Grace with a touch of humor and mischievousness describes my art. Connecting people, artists and collaborating with others nourishes my soul. I cannot wait to see what my fun-loving and creative team of brilliant local artisans, and I will teach.
New techniques, visiting artists, exciting collaborations, exploration of new mediums, fun, and friendship is all a part of the community we are building here at the new South Bay Artist Studio.
See you there!
